New online study recruiting participants with misophonia for a new misophonia computer test

This is a new study from a team of researchers in Germany, USA and England and they are currently recruiting participants who have misophonia. The study is testing out a new way of assessing misophonia using a computerised test. Participants have the possibility to win one of 48 amazon vouchers for $50/£50 for completing the study.

Ever wondered how doctors or psychotherapists determine if and how severe someone suffers from misophonia?

Until now, misophonia has been assessed through interviews and questionnaires, lacking an objective misophonia test. My team and I have worked tirelessly to address this gap and have finally developed a misophonia computer test. But it's not just any test – it's designed to be exceptionally misophonia-friendly.

In this new test, participants listen to sounds and rate their discomfort. Importantly, you can stop or decide whether to listen to any sound at any time.

We aim to contribute to raising awareness and understanding of misophonia in the scientific community and beyond. To achieve this and make the misophonia-friendly computer test successful, we need each and every one of you to participate. We need YOUR support!

We are looking for individuals affected by misophonia or those experiencing misophonia symptoms. Since this group is not easily reachable, we rely on each and every one of you. To participate, you must be 18 years old, have 55 to 60 minutes of your time, and access to a computer with a keyboard and headphones. The study is online and accessible via this link:
